Lorena Salazar Masso

Lorena Salazar Masso (Medellín, 1991) is a writer and advertising creative. She studied Advertising at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín and holds a master's degree in Narrative from Escuela de Escritores in Madrid.

Her first novel, Esta herida llena de peces (2021), was selected by Babelia among the Spanish-language novels of the year and has been translated into French, German, Italian, English, Czech, Polish, Danish, Portuguese, Dutch, Greek and Serbian. Spanish-language editions were published in Colombia, Spain and Argentina.

Maldeniña (2023), her second novel, was published in Colombia, Spain and Argentina, and has been translated into Danish. She has also published short pieces in La Rompedora and La maleta de Portbou (Spain), El Malpensante and Gaceta (Colombia) and Casapaís (Uruguay).

She teaches creative writing and copywriting, and has led brand narrative projects in Colombia, Spain and Mexico. She lives in Medellín.
